Introducing: Reagan Thea

It has become a bit of a winter tradition to drive up to northern Vermont to visit Lauren and Michael in their cozy home, drink wine and eat.  This year was extra special as we got to meet their brand spanking new daughter.  Lauren and Michael welcomed Reagan Thea on Christmas Eve morning, just in time for a perfect first Christmas as a family of three.

We woke up Sunday morning to a snow globe scene of huge flakes coming down (which quickly convinced me that going for a run was totally unnecessary) – I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop to take some newborn shots of little Reagan.  Even their dog, Koda, was on his best behavior, getting a little photo shoot of his own.

Lo and Michael, I had such a lovely time visiting and meeting your little one!  You're always such great hosts and that didn't change with the addition of a newborn.  You guys have certainly settled into the role of incredible parents and I can't wait to watch Reagan grow!

Celebrate: Adelaide Turns One!

Seems like just yesterday that I was in Fort Collins visiting Kaitlyn and Michael and their brand new baby girl, Adelaide.  As it does, the last year flew by and they're where they really belong(!!), on the east coast in New Hampshire.  Michael works at Keene State College and the two of them turned a pretty standard dorm common area into a rainbow themed (my favorite!) toddler birthday wonderland, complete with a video chronicling a year's worth of iPhone photos and videos.  Adelaide was a little under the weather but you'd never know it as there were zero tears until the end of the party and the sugar buzz turned into nap time.

Kait, I've now watched you open gifts in front of a room full of people on numerous occasions and while you've always been thrilled, this time you were absolutely glowing!  So happy to see you both so happy, can't wait for my next visit!

Happy New Year!

Secretly, I'm a bit of a sap - high school days really were the glory days, reminiscing is my favorite pastime and I'm a sucker for an Olympic montage.  I am bff with nostalgia.

But looking back on 2013, I can't believe how much I've gotten to do and what has changed.  First and foremost, people actually paid me to do something I love to do!  And on top of that, people have decided that I'm to be trusted with their wedding day in June (thank you, Tim and Carol!)!  I literally have no words.

Up next for 2014?  Hopefully some more family shoots, the aforementioned wedding, more travel and whatever else comes my way.  Here are a few of my most favorite shots from 2013 - lots of babies!  Happy New Year, may 2014 be just as great!!
